Putri joined Cognito iQ in 2012 as an Information Systems Graduate working on the Helpdesk. She was promoted to Graduate Test Engineer within six months, working on Intelligent Mobile Workflow.

“Cognito iQ is good at developing it’s employees with a very active HR department. There is a great mix of people from different technical backgrounds in my new team and importantly there are lots like me who are still learning. Everyone is keen to help and this has been great for me, accelerating my learning path beyond my expectations. There is always something going on socially and I’ve made great friends as a result. I’m looking forward to the next go-karting event – an excellent night out!”

Lee joined Cognito iQ to fulfil a temporary role to support a complex project implementation. Three years on, he is now a valued member of the test team, working as one of our Test Engineers.

“Bizarrely, my job here is to break our software! This brings many challenges, but it helps to ensure we continue to produce software for our customers that is reliable and more intuitive to use. My role is very engaging, and one of the parts I enjoy the most is the interaction with the rest of the business. Although highly pressured at times, it is a great environment to work in.”

Jess has recently returned to university to complete her Computing and Maths degree following a year on the IP programme. She hopes to return to Cognito iQ after graduation.

“It was important to me to select an IP programme where I could see myself not only learning on the job, but also being in a lively and dynamic environment that encouraged continual learning. Everyone here is really friendly so I never had a problem with that! The work I am doing is very rewarding and I can see the results of my work in what we release to the customers. My time at Cognito iQ has completely validated my thoughts about pursuing a career in software development.”

Stuart first worked for Cognito iQ in 1998 on the IP programme, returning in 2000 as a Software Engineer. He is now a Senior Project Manager in our Consultancy division.

“Throughout my time here, the company has listened to my career intentions and continued to develop me. This, combined with a lot of hard work from my side, has got me into the position I am in today. I became an accredited Prince2 practitioner which is crucial to my project management role. It also reassures the customer that I follow a recognised methodology when implementing what can be multi-million pound investments.”
