Service Support Analyst

Cognito iQ are currently recruiting for a Service Support Analyst to join a well established team. The ideal candidate will provide timely and effective advice to internal and external clients in a high profile and demanding environment, to support the use of Cognito iQ products and services. They will install, upgrade and maintain Cognito iQ solutions, proactively monitor system health and provide 24-hour support to the client base. They will also be able to provide accurate advice to internal and external users in support of Cognito iQ products and services. They will respond to, escalate and resolve all calls according to Support procedures and SLA targets and take ownership of the call throughout its lifecycle, as well as ensuring that the ITSM and JIRA systems are kept up to date with all relevant details.

Essential applicant traits include effective personal organisation skills; the right candidate will be logical and systematic, will have attention to detail, and will prioritise workload and resources to achieve deadlines. They will have the ability to process and analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and be enthusiastic while maintaining consistent energy levels. They will also be persistent, remain calm under pressure and be able to manage a number of tasks simultaneously. Senior UI Developer

We are looking for a great senior UI developer who is proficient in React.js to work in a fast-paced, Agile, continuous delivery team, using the latest UI and Cloud technologies.  We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering awesome user experiences with a focus on quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Owner to translate concepts and mockups into reality, and collaborate with the development team to define, refine and estimate user stories. They will also design code for simplicity, maintainability and performance. Our ideal applicant will be able to develop new, responsive, user-facing features using React.js., build unit and deployment tests to ensure quality and accuracy, and be able to review code, providing valuable, constructive feedback.

The right candidate must have experience in UI development in a commercial environment. They will have a knack for creating captivating user experiences with a focus on usability, and have experience and understanding of working in an Agile team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this role. The successful applicant must be proficient in a number of languages including (but not limited to):

  • React / Redux
  • Modern Javascript ES6/7
  • TDD (Jest / Jasmine / Mocha / Chai etc.)
  • Node / NPM

Principal Consultant - OPA

Cognito iQ are currently searching for a Principal Consultant for its OPA Solution. The successful post-holder will engage across the pre and post-sales process to help create and position the value of our OPA Solution and engage with our customers through the implementation, ensuring and demonstrating ROI. This engagement, typically with the customer’s Executive Sponsor or Change Manager, will be co-located (typically at their offices) during the implementation stage. The Principal Consultant will aim to understand the customer’s business challenges and using OPA, consult with them to show the evidence from their data and construct solutions to address their challenges. Based on experience gained in the Industry the Principal Consultant will also proactively identify improvement opportunities and recommend these to customers, in both instances clearly demonstrating the ROI on their investment. The Principal Consultant will engage with customers at a very senior level and build long term trust-based relationships with them. Typically, they will engage, day to day, with Operations Managers and even with Couriers or Field Service staff. As such they will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and relationship management skills. The Principal Consultant will have outstanding analytical skills and be able to effectively utilise available business intelligence to deliver tangible results, through operational/process efficiency, marketing effectiveness and improved customer experience.

The right candidate will have a successful, proven experience in a consulting role, have detailed knowledge and experience of the Field Service Industry in an operations role, and have the ability to quickly form and develop relationships at senior levels within an organisation, where they can gain credibility and influence others. They will be confident in their ability to run workshops and meetings to solicit and agree expected outcomes with customers and do this with their excellent verbal, written (e.g. customer reports) and presentation skills. The successful applicant will also be willing to travel regularly (75%) providing on-site support to customers.

Operations Engineer

We are looking for an experienced engineer who can take responsibility for the implementation and administration of all the releases within the Cloud Operations team, including deployments and changes across the business predominantly on our AWS hosted environments. Excellent knowledge of AWS is essential for this role, along with a good working knowledge of supporting tools and systems such as Rabbit, GitHub, Elasticsearch, Logz.io, Pentaho, Jenkins, Terraform to name but a few. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, unsupervised, to meet our customer’s requirements of completing production releases, deployment and changes outside of regular working hours. This is a demanding role which requires candidates to have a solid understanding of working in a technical and complex environment with demonstrable experience across multiple facets. They will be responsible for coordinating releases, deployments and changes across the business, for products and customers on production and non-production environments. The releases can be inclusive of product updates, backend system patches BI and Mobile projects.

The successful candidate will utilise Jenkins, Terraform and other deployment tools and systems on a daily basis, recommending improvements where appropriate with a focus on continual improvement, and establish strong working relationships with both clients and internal teams. They will be responsible for communicating all release, deployment and change activities to the required customers before, during and after release, deployment or change as required. They will be responsible for the preparation of platform systems for use in production environments through integration with automation toolset, and will ensure releases, deployments and changes are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations.
