QA Engineers - Mobile (12 Month FTC)

We are looking to expand our team with experienced QA Engineers. Once appointed you will deliver all customer releases of our mobile workflow applications to the highest quality level, following our QA Strategy and best practices. You will need to execute different types of testing based on different scenarios by following a risk-based approach (for example, automated or manual, non-functional, exploratory and regression), all the while ensuring the customer or user is at the centre of our test focus.

The successful applicants will have demonstrable experience of planning, delivering, and reporting on QA activities for releases. The ability to influence colleagues through strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, as is an in-depth understanding of a range of types of tests, including non-functional testing and the test pyramid. You will also have experience of setting up and maintaining test environments and test data.

Senior Software Engineer / Team Leader (12 Month FTC)

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our team. You will lead and line-manage a small team of junior developers, while also contributing to the development of software for serverless and microservice Cloud products. You will be able to review code and provide valuable, constructive feedback.

We’re looking for someone who already has experience in technical leadership of a team of developers. Ideally you will be a certified Scrum Master, or have the desire to become one. You will have technical expertise in either Golang or Java, AWS serverless technologies, full-stack experience with React JS, RESTful APIs, JSON and Github. You willl also be a mentor to your team giving constructive guidance and feedback.

Software Engineer - Mobile (12 Month FTC)

We are looking for a passionate, proactive and motivated Mobile Software Engineer to join a highly-skilled development team, working on the delivery of mobile application products that are a key part of Cognito iQ's mobile solution.

As well as using JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS technologies, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing our mobile applications using both Cognito iQ’s existing cross-platform application development framework, as well as industry leading UI development technologies.

The ideal candidate would need to be an enthusiastic and ambitious technologist with strong communication skills and proven capabilities. You will be driven by the desire to satisfy and inspire Cognito iQ’s customers through timely delivery of innovative software solutions.

Duties for this role include hands-on, front-end development of Mobile Applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS & bespoke technologies on popular mobile platforms, as well as interpretation of business requirements and design documentation. You willl also have active involvement in planning and estimation of work items, utilising Cognito iQ project and development methodologies & processes, within an Agile environment.

Essential skills this role requires are proficiency in JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS, knowledge of JSON, XML, and the ability to rapidly pick-up new skills. You will already have wide exposure to a variety of different code management, build and deployment tools, e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, JIRA, Git and GULP. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have mobile web development experience, and experience in an Agile Scrum environment

Our Placements are for 13 months and will commence in the summer of 2021.
